About me

I’m passionate about helping communities build knowledge. I strive to create sustainable services, co-construct inclusive pathways to academic success, and invent novel approaches to centering diverse learner voices in higher education.

I came to digital experience design through educational technology and ESL instruction, which has given me an unusual combination: a classroom teacher’s instinct for listening deeply and a builder’s desire to create human-centered systems. At UW-Madison, UCLA, and UC San Diego, I’ve done this by scaling-up DIY instructional platforms, founding learner-led design teams, and helping organizations re-envision their services and spaces through inclusive, participatory, and accessible design.

At the heart of my work are relational questions about the creative process: Who gets to lead? Whose voices are centered, and whose are missing? And what changes when the people closest to a problem lead the development of solutions?
